أسس مركز الاهرام للدراسات السياسية والاستراتيجية (ACPSS) سنة 1968 كوحدة ابحاث تعمل مستقلة ضمن اطار مؤسسة الاهرام. ويقوم المركز بأبحاث متعددة الجوانب الاقليمية تتناول التطورات الدولية وكذلك، الشؤون الاستراتيجية والسياسية والاقتصادية الاجتماعية المصرية، وتطبع الكثير من الاوراق عبر الانترنت . ARCE is the professional society in the United States of specialists on Egypt of all periods. It is also a consortium of universities and museums that support archaeological and academic research in Egypt and whose membership is open to the public. ARCE operates out of offices in New York City and Cairo. CDC is a training and research institute established in 1963 by the mutual assistance between the United Nations and the Egyptian Government. مركز القاهرة الديموغرافي هو معهد تدريب وابحاث، اسس سنة 1963 بمساعدة متبادلة بين الامم المتحدة والحكومة المصرية. وفي 1992 تحملت الحكومة المصرية كامل المسؤولية عن المركز. يوفر الموقع لوائح بالابحاث الجارية والحالية فقط. ولا تنشر ملخصات او نصوص كاملة. Cairo institute for human rights studies:
CIHRS is a research center specialized in the field of human rights. Its main task is to analyze and explain difficulties faced by the process of implementing the law of human rights in the Arab world. CEDEJ is a multidisciplinary research centre in social and human sciences focused on contemporary Egypt and Sudan. CEDEJ is based in Cairo with a branch at Khartoum University, Sudan. A member of the network of research institutes run by the Division of Scientific, University and Research Cooperation at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CEDEJ is associated with the CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) since 1985 and is at present one of its Human and Social Sciences Department research units. هو مركز أبحاث متعدد المجالات في العلوم الاجتماعية والانسانية، ويركز على مصر والسودان المعاصريين. ومقره في القاهرة وله فرع بجامعة الخرطوم بالسودان. عضو في شبكة انترنت معاهد الابحثا التي يديرها قسم التعاون العلمي والجامعية والبحث بوزارة الشؤون الخارجية الفرنسية. ويرتبط مركز CEDEJ بالمركز الوطني للابحاث العلمية CNRS منذ سنة 1985 وهو حالياً احد وحدات البحث في دائرة الانسانيات والعلوم الاجتماعية. ويجري ابحاث في العلوم السياسية وعلم الاجتماع، والدراسات القانونية، والاقتصاد ولادراسات المصرية والسودانية. ICDS is a Cairo-based private professional research organization created in 1988. The main objective of ICDS is to advance applied social sciences relating to Egypt, the Arab World and the Third World. ICDS is particularly engaged in issues of democratization and civil society. تأسس مركز ابن خلدون لدراسات التنمية في القاهرة كمنظمة خاصة للابحاث في 1988. الهدف الرئيسي للمركز هو التقدم في العلوم الاجتماعية التطبيقية المتعلقة بمصر والعالم العربي والعالم الثالث. ويعمل المركز بشكل خاص في قضايا الديقراطية والمجتمع المدني وينشر المركز مجلة شهرية"المجتمع المدني"، تتوافر الاصدارات الجديدة منها عبر الانترنت.
